Obituary for Margaret McCallum
With great sadness, the family of Margaret Teresa McCallum (nee Banovsky) passed away at the age of 92 years. Born in Chelsey Ontario, the daughter of the late Stephen and Pauline Banovsky (nee Duris). Beloved wife to the late Dalton “Duck” (2001), the special mom to Sheri Bernier of Sarnia, and the special grandma to Megan Bernier (Craig Rebrey) and Taryn Bernier (Jeff Paulley). She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Teresa Banovsky and Jean McCallum, her niece Diane (Steve) Reed and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Mike Banovsky, John (Sue) Banovsky, Mary (Paul) Dulak, and Annie (Gus) Voytek and many from Dalton’s family. The family would like to thank Margaret’s neighbours for their friendship and care. She will be greatly missed by the community in which she adored, on LaSalle Line. A mass celebrating the life of Margaret will take place at St. Philip’s Parish in Petrolia on a future date. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Oil Springs Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Philip’s Parish or C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (ceehf.ca). Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.needhamjay.com
