Porter, Margaret Elizabeth, Raynardton, passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 17,2020. Born in Rockville, September 22,1944, she was a daughter to the late Arthur Nickerson and Marion (Don Smith). Margaret was a gourmet cook, she loved to entertain and have guests. She enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, flowers and was an exceptional painter. She is survived by her children, Arnie (Patty), Raynardton; Troy (Kelly), Arcadia; Wentworth (Tracy), Deerfield; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Bucky Nickerson, Rockville; sisters Lois LeCain, Yarmouth; Emily (James) Amiro, Brooklyn. She was predeceased by husband, Robert Porter; son, Cory; grandson, Matt. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Graveside Service will be held, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 2pm from the Chebogue Cemetery. Rev A.D Bill Newell officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Liver Foundation or The Chebogue Cemetery.
