Margaret Elizabeth Evans McKeown Thursday October 22nd 2020

Margaret Elizabeth Evans (nee McKeown)
Died peacefully in the home that she loved and surrounded by the love and support of her family, both near and afar. Beloved wife of the late James and mother of Jamie (Alison), Cheryl (Tim), and Brian (Aimée).
Much loved Gramma of Elaine, James, Brendan, Meghan, Samuel, and Madeline. Loving sister of Cyril and Paul McKeown and the late Gervais, Gerald, Jim, Ben, Basil and Mary (Gehan). Will be fondly remembered by many Evans and McKeown nieces and nephews. A Registered Nurse and graduate of the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing at Kingston’s Hotel Dieu Hospital, caring for others – patients and family, was her calling. The family is incredibly grateful that during her later years, when she was the one in need of care, it was returned to her many times over. We will forever remember the incredible support given to her over many years by Kevin Evans, the Tamworth Medical Centre staff and in particular, her longtime GP, Dr. Laing McFadzean and more recently, NP Elizabeth Norris for providing outstanding and compassionate palliative care, CBI nursing staff, and PSW Rhonda. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Centreville on Monday, October 26th 2020. Interment to follow in the St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Anthony’s Building Fund, the Terry Fox Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by family.
