Leaving to mourn and to celebrate her life are her loving husband of 49 years, Gordon; children, Sherry (Craig) Barrett, Scott Butterworth (Renee), Michelle Butterworth (Blair O’Brien), Jenelle Butterworth (Jon Dawe), Joanne (Andrew) Smith, and Angela (Scott) Kavanagh; grandchildren, Shane, Brandon, Harley, Lakita, Diego, Meadow, Neveah, Kara, Chole, Landen, Jonathan, Olivia, Kody, Dylan, Allie, and Kyla; great-grandchild, Meilani; sisters, Marilyn (Reuben) Rowe, Elizabeth March Collins, and Emmeline (Nelson) Reid; brothers, Levi (Joyce) March, Aubrey (Lillian) March, and Dennis March (Judy Flynn); sister-in-law, Jean Butterworth and brother-in-law, Reg Butterworth (David Seed); as well as a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife who kept her short illness quite private. She never wanted to burden anyone with taking care of her, especially on her last trying days. Her selflessness didn’t just show during her illness as she had been this way her whole life. She lived life taking care of others and putting everybody before herself. She dearly loved her grandchildren, they were her whole world. Not only did she go above and beyond for her family, she applied this to every aspect of her life to even ensure her customers had their veggies for Sunday dinner, known to most as the “Vegetable Lady”. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know this remarkable woman.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the amazing staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. She mentioned to us numerous times just how kind and caring these people truly were. We cannot thank you enough for making our mother feel safe and comfortable.
Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
