Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marcy Dawn Anderson on October 15, 2020 at the age of 47 years.
Marcy spent many years focusing on customer service through various entrepreneurial ventures in both Retail Sales and the Food and Beverage industry.
Marcy had a musical background in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music, along with a degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, focusing on child development. Marcy also valued the importance of a strong Arts program in elementary schools.
Marcy was born in Winnipeg. Her passion in music came into fruition at age twelve when she discovered the piano. Marcy’s inspiration not only stems from having a positive experience from her former music teachers, it continued with master piano teachers throughout university. Upon graduation from university in 1996, Marcy moved to Calgary, the driving force being the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Snowboarding, skiing, hiking and white water rafting are just a few of the activities she enjoyed aside from playing the piano and song writing. Marcy was a competitive baton twirler and judge for over 15 years. Among numerous awards in this sport, her greatest accomplishment was winning the Canadian National Championships at age 12.
Marcy is survived by her mother Kathy, brothers Jeff and Scott (Wendy), nephews, Trafford, Quaid, Corbin and Matthew.
No service will be held.
