Manuel Raposo
1937-2020
Raposo, Manuel, 83, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully in his home
on May 5, 2020, with his family by his side. Manuel was born to
parents Manuel Raposo and Deolinda Resendes on April 1, 1937 in Faial
da Terra, Sao Miguel. Manuel married Maria Isabel Pereira in 1963 and
came to Canada in 1969. Manuel is survived by his wife, Maria Raposo,
his daughter, Helen Da Silva (Tony), his son Walter Raposo (Susan) and
four beautiful grandchildren Brandon Da Silva, Katelyn Clayton and
Alysha and Matthew Raposo. Manuel worked for years as a machine
operator at Preston Metal Roofing and retired in 1995. Manuel is
fondly remembered for his infectious smile, always happy personality
and well known for his playfulness, jokes, kindness and love of life.
He loved to socialize and be around his friends and family. Manuel was
proud of his family especially his grandkids and made sure to always
put them first. We will lovingly remember all the beautiful memories
he has left with us. Private funeral services were held on Friday, May
8, 2020. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be announced and
held at a later date. In these difficult times the family would
