Peacefully at Marianhill Shalom Wing, Pembroke, with her loving family at her side, on Saturday October 24, 2020 in her 99th year. Margaret McFarlane (nee Yantha) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Rod McFarlane. Loved and cherished mother of David McFarlane (Audrey), Maple Ridge BC and Colleen McFarlane, Pembroke. Predeceased by her sons Roy, Dwight and Deacon Michael McFarlane. Father-in-law of Carol and Brenda McFarlane. Loving Grandmother to Kelly-Ann, Shawn, Paul, Adam, Elissa, Stacey and Greg and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Agnes Desjardins, Ann Tennian and her brother Leonard Yantha . Daughter of the late John and Pauly (nee Coulas) Yantha. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday November 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OF COVID-19 MANDATES, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE CHURCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL MASS AND CEMETERY. Please feel free to bring your own face mask or one will be supplied to you by the Funeral Home. (Please call the funeral home at 613-735-5711 if you wish to attend the Funeral. An appointment time will be arranged) Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery. In memory of Margaret, donations to St. Joseph’s Food Bank or the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated.
