1934-2020
The death of Mae Burke of Knoxford occurred on Tuesday, October 6,
2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, Born November 22,
1934 she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Isabel (Hopcroft)
Laver. She was also predeceased by her husband, Ronald and 5
siblings, Linda, Beryle, June, Edwin and Gordon.
After Mae’s retirement from McCain Food’s in 2002 she enjoyed
gardening and had a real green thumb. She was also a member of the
Florenceville Garden Club and a long time member of the Upper Knoxford
Baptist Church.
Mae is survived by her 2 children David Burke (Suzanne) and Lori
Prosser (Charles); 2 grandchildren Megan Nozzolillo (Nick) and Erin
Wall (Kurt); 4 great grand children, Isabel, Adelyn, Harper and
Kingsley; 1 brother, Keith Laver as well as several nieces, nephews
and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from
11- 1:30 pm. A private funeral service will be held in the L.R.
Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steven Little will officiate. The
interment will be in the Upper Knoxford Cemetery. For those who wish
donations made to the Upper Knoxford Cemetery or to a charity of the
