It is with great sadness the family of Lorne Madaski mourns his passing on August 5, 2020 at the age of 81 at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
Lorne was born on December 6, 1938 to parents Joseph and Opal Madaski. He grew up in Choiceland, and worked in Uranium City and La Ronge, Sask at the iron ore mines as a powerhouse operator. After the mines closed he spent many years as a drywaller and in the lumber industry. Lorne returned to the White Fox district in 1984 where he spent many years in the area, which he remembered fondly. In his later years he moved to Edmonton and lived with Lois and Garland until his passing.
Lorne enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching his garden grow.
Lorne is predeceased by his parents Joe and Opal Madaski, his sister in-law Marlene Madaski, and his granddaughter Candice Madaski.
Lorne is survived by his sister Lois Moonie (Garland), his brother Larry Madaski, his children, Paul (Deanna), Troy, Lee, and Susan, 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In memorial, a close family graveside gathering will be held at a later date.
