KENNEDY, Mabel (nee Whiteway) – Passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 24, 2020, Mabel Kennedy, age 81 years. Predeceased by her boyfriend, Reg Lilly; parents: Ezekiel and Mary Whiteway; and siblings: Olive and Benjamin. Leaving to mourn, her children: Richard Kennedy (Geraldine), Phyllis Earle (Christopher), Susan Hartery (Larry), Tina Barron (Ed), Gerry Kennedy (Wavie), Kenneth Kennedy (Kayla), Douglas Kennedy (Rosemary), and Christina Hillier (Dave); grandchildren: Ricky, Beverly, Christina, Shannon, Nick, Jimmy, Jennifer, Brendan, Brittany, Sara, Eddie, Christina, Gerry Jr., Justin, Ryan, David, Abigail, Sheldon, Hailey and Nathan; many great-grandchildren; her siblings: Doug (Gail), Margaret, Hilda (Mark), Doris (Glen) and Ann (Gus); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends – including special friend Doris King. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, October 29, from 12-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00am, with cremation to follow. Interment to take place at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mabel’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
