Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lynn Sharon Evans wishes to announce her passing on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Rocmaura Nursing Home at the age of 73. She was the eldest daughter of the late Maurice and Leah (Kennedy) Evans.
Lynn was a very kind, quiet modest person. She worked hard for 39 years at T.S. Simms and took great pride in making specialty paint brushes by hand. Following her retirement, she spent several years as a volunteer with the PALS program at St. Patrick’s School. She was a life-long member of St. Jude’s Anglican Church where she was a Vestry member, choir member and part of the ACW. She was also a Brownie leader for many years. She was a big fan of the Royal Family.
Lynn was a proud Westsider and enjoyed her daily walks in her neighbourhood. Lynn enjoyed time spent with her family, including her kitty Sassy.
Lynn is survived by her sister, Heather Masson; nephew Paul, his wife Mary-Ann and their children Brooke and Spencer; niece Dawn; nephew Adam and his partner Karen. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Joseph Masson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Following cremation a graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Old Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lancaster Avenue. Donations in her memory may be made to the Saint John SPCA or the Church of the Good Shepherd.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to all those who have supported Lynn and her family over the past couple of years as she fought her courageous battle with Alzheimers.
