Lynn Darlene Robinson
1942-2020
Lynn Darlene Robinson (nee
Amon), life-long resident of Springhill, passed away peacefully on
February 4th 2020 at the George Dumont Hospital in
Moncton.
Born in December 1942 in Springhill, Lynn received a Bachelor
of Education from Dalhousie University in 1964 and went on to enjoy a
career of teaching, first in Ingonish, NS and then in Springhill until
her retirement. She was well-known for her many years of teaching high
school English Literature in Springhill.
Lynn enjoyed spending summers in the family summer residence
in Cape Breton, as well as cooking and baking. She was continually
reading and adding to her extensive library of books collected over
decades, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. More
than anything, however, she loved her family and dogs Dilly and
Olive.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband Francis, daughter
Holly (Robert), son Drew (Terissa), grandchildren Rayne, Chapin, and
Declan, and brother Del (Barb).
She was predeceased by her parents Layton
“Pete” and Florence (Rushton) Amon.
Lynn was well-known for her intelligence, her wit and, most
recently, for her relentless bravery and strength. She will be dearly
missed by family, friends, and former students.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A family gathering will be held in
lieu of a funeral service at her request.
