Obituary for
Lynden Wilson
David Lynden Wilson
David Lynden Wilson passed peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the age of 75 years after a battle with cancer. Loving father of Jennifer Wilson (Mike Durocher) and Tyler Wilson. Cherished Poppa of Allan, Samantha, David and Amelia. Friend to former wife Mary Hindle. Lynden is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Janet Wilson.
Retired from Health & Welfare Canada as a Laboratory Technician. Lynden, as he was known, made many great lifelong friends including Bruce M., Brian L. and John F. (deceased), and enjoyed their company along with many friends over a Black Label beer at The Carleton Tavern, The Royal Oak, and The Wood on Wellington.
Over the past 10 years, he became an important father figure to Aline Lilwall and they would often enjoy a game of golf with other friends from the Tavern. Lynden was a huge sports fan who loved Boston Bruins hockey, and Ottawa Redblacks and NY Giants football. He enjoyed participating in the local bars’ sports pools, ever hopeful that the Giants would make the next round.
His quick wit and humour will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Due to COVID-19, a private graveside service will be held at Kemptville Union Cemetery Saturday September 12th followed by a Celebration of Life at The Carleton Tavern for 1pm. Donations in Lynden’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lynden Wilson 1945 2020..
