Obituary of Lynda Joy Thompson
Thompson, Lynda Joy (nee Davies)
Lynda Joy Thompson, a resident of Chatham, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 73.
She was the daughter of the late Chuck & Marge (nee Hilts) Davies.
Devoted wife of 54 beautiful years to Jack Thompson.
Always remembered by her children, John Thompson (Shauna) and Kari Howe (Jamie).
Cherished Mama of Leah & Kate Thompson, Brett & Brooke Howe.
Sister of Beverly Currie (Fred), Doug Davies (Audrey), Jeanette Davies, Bill Davies (Barb), Jim Davies (Ann) and Bob Davies (Linda). Predeceased by brothers, Charlie Davies, Bruce Davies, mother & father-in-law, Harold & Ina (nee Bennett) Thompson, brother-in-law, Lorne Thompson (the late Pat) and sister-in-law, Shirley Thompson.
Sister-in-law of Ellen Davies, Phil Thompson (Marlene) and Barb Rhynold.
Missed by many nieces & nephews.
Lynda loved to spend time watching her children and the grandchildren, supporting them with their various sports. She was an avid player at Riverview Bingo Palace for many years. Lynda will be remembered always for her delicious peanut butter cookies and holding her cup of Red Rose tea. She worked for many years with Navistar, FRAM and Smith & Stones. Lynda will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A Private Family Service to take place.
