Obituary of Lynda Elaine Redmond
REDMOND, Lynda E.
Peacefully at Providence Care Hospital on Friday, May 8, 2020, in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Carl Redmond. Dearly loved mother of Enno Kerckhoff (Lesley), Amy Davey (Roger), Peter Kerckhoff (Robyn) and Erich Kerckhoff (Ashley), and grandmother of Emily, Jamie, Deacon, Caitlin, Elise and Arlo. Survived by her brothers, Donald Edward Blake (Barbara deceased), Michael Blake (Jane) and John David Blake (Deborah). Predeceased by her parents, Donald and Evelyn (nee Read) Blake and brother Stan Blake (Barbara deceased). Lynda’s career took her in many directions; a paralegal (specializing in trademarks), operated a home day care centre for children and was the proprietor of a resort and fine dining establishment in Muskoka. Lynda enjoyed knitting and was an avid quilter. The family extends their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Providence Care Hospital who provided her with exemplary care and compassion. Arrangements for cremation in the care of JAMES REID CREMATORIUM. Once the current pandemic restrictions are lifted, a celebration of life at St. George’s Cathedral will be announced followed by inurnment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. George’s Cathedral Heritage Fund, or the charity of your choice.
