Lurlin Winnifred Anez Sunday August 30th 2020

Lurlin Winnifred Anez of Onslow Mountain passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2020 at the age of 95 years. Lurlin was born on July 5th, 1925 in Campbellton, NB and raised on the Gaspé Coast, QC. She was the oldest daughter of the late William and Florence (Roussy) Anez. Lurlin was a woman of strength and determination – characteristics that served her well throughout her life. Her passions were her family, pets and walking (in all weather conditions). She was a talented knitter and made many sweaters and afghans over the years. Lurlin is survived by her children, Judy (Bill), Richard (Brenda), and Ray (Irene); grandchildren, Darin (Kim), Tracy (Adam), Olivia (Jason), Michael, and Jamie (Tracey); great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Madison, Sophie, Raina, Allison, Lauren and Jesse; sister, Lee; brothers, Lyle and Curtis (Betty-Ann); several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister, Jean; grand-daughter, Nadia; daughter-in-law, Marjorie; brother-in-law, Cletus; sisters-in-law, Janet and Margaret. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at The Magnolia who provided excellent care to Mom. A special thank you is extended to Dianna, Dana, Kathleen, Helen and Dr. Sheehy. At our mother’s request there will be no visitation or service; a private interment will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Truro, the Colchester SPCA or a charity of your choice. Online condolences can be made at www.ColchesterCommunity.com
