A Private Funeral Service for Lucy Elchuk, age 95 of Yorkton, will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 am from the St Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton, SK with Fr Louis Nguyen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Yorkton City Cemetery.

Lucy Elchuk (nee Fullawka), beloved wife of the late Steve Elchuk of Yorkton and formerly of the Hamton District passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home in Yorkton. She was 95 years of age.
Lucy was born on May 14, 1925 the daughter of Paul and Agnes (nee Sleeva) Fullawka near Tiny, Saskatchewan. She received her education at Tiny School.
After her education she helped her parents on the farm until she was united in marriage to Steve Elchuk on July 21, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Church in Canora, Saskatchewan. Together they made their home and farmed in the Hamton District. In 1984 they moved to Yorkton.
They spent over 20 winters in Weslaco, Texas where they met many other “Winter Texans”. Lucy enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, golfing and bowling. She also loved gardening and her flowers.
Lucy was predeceased by her husband Steve (Aug 2, 2012), her father, Paul in 1956; her mother, Agnes in 1989; her brothers, Edward, Louis, Mike, John, Stanley, Bernard; her sisters, Emily, Genevieve, Adeline; sister-in-laws, Rose and Julia; and brother-in-law Bert Kirkham.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores & Ignace Palchewich, her sister-in-law, Sophie Fullawka, her special niece, Vicky & her husband Elmer Heshka and her special cousin Frank & his wife Brenda Tomik as well as many nieces and nephews.
