Lucie Martin
1940-2020
ST. MARGARET’S, NB – Lucie Martin 80, of
St. Margaret’s passed away peacefully at the Miramichi
Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Born in
Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Walter Savoie and late
Edith (Mazerolle) Savoie.
Lucie will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Joseph
Martin of St. Margaret’s; one daughter, Charlene Martin
(Armand) of Miramichi; two sons, Dean Martin of St.
Margaret’s, Daren Martin (Viola) of Baie-Ste-Anne; six
grandchildren, Melanie (Michael), Michael, Emily (Dylan), Erin,
Stephanie (Jason), Arielle (Matt) and three great grandchildren,
Brooke, Addison and Wesley.
She is also survived by three nephews, Eugene (late Kim) of
Miramichi, Réjean (Penny) of Pointe-Sapin, Philip (Loretta)
of St. Charles and many great nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Anita
and her son-in-law, Blaine.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday from 1:00 pm until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July
6, 2020 at 4:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in
Pointe-Sapin.
