Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Sunday, September 6, 2020 with her family by her side after a courageous fight with cancer. Louise Luoma in her 74th year, loving wife of Raymond for 53 wonderful years. Proud mother to Carl, John (Robin) and Ryan. Loving Nana to Carter and Paige. Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Alice Burdick and her brother David. Will be missed by her many friends, nieces, nephews and extended family. Louise was an avid scrapbooker and enjoyed capturing the memories of her varied travel destinations and family events. Her homemade birthday cards were always something that people looked forward to receiving. She was always an avid reader and enjoyed watching her sporting passion, figure skating, and cheering on her favourite skaters. Louise also enjoyed dipping her toes in the water and swimming whether it was a local beach, tropical paradise or just the lake at the cottage. In honouring her wishes a private family service will be taking place with internment at Minesing Union Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later to be announced date at the Minesing Community Centre. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre and all of the support programs that helped so much through her journey. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Royal Victoria Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
