Lottie Singer
(née Lubiner)
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lottie Lubiner Singer on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the age of ninety-three. Beloved wife and best friend of Harold Singer for seventy-two years. She passed due to illness, but the family believes she longed to be with Harold who passed away three days before her. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sharyn and Tony Needemyer, Vivian (Patty) and Robert Lapkovsky, Debbie and Earl Nussbaum. Treasured Bubbie of Daniel, Corey, Dayna and Ami, Stacey, Shira and Josh, Briana and Reuben, William. Immensely proud great-grandmother of Asher, Jagger, Grayson, and Netanel. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Saul and Arlene, Jeroham and Brenda, Freda, and Millie. Predeceased by her brothers, Lou, Frank and Sam Lubiner, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and Leslie Zamir, Bertha and Syd Garber, Shirley and Wade Hemsworth. Lottie will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was an extraordinary woman who wore many hats: she was a wonderful partner to Harold, a remarkable mother to her three daughters and sons-in-law, a hands-on grandmother and a loving great-grandmother. Lottie was exceptionally devoted to her parents and her brother Frank. She loved to cook, bake and entertain guests. She always included those who found themselves alone during a holiday. Her door was always open to friends and neighbours and she strived to help them in every way. She worked part-time as a bookkeeper, was involved in Beth Ora Sisterhood, B’nai Brith, Emunah, Mizrachi, and Meals on Wheels. Special thanks to Lottie’s wonderful caregivers, especially Rosalie, who treated her with love and compassion. Lottie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Donations in her memory may be made to Congregation Beth Ora, (514) 748-6559.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lottie Singer 2020..
