Obituary
Lorraine Doris Schofield Hull, beloved wife of Robert D. Hull of Cardston, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Cardston, Alberta at the age of 65 years.
Besides her husband, Lorraine is survived by her children and grandchildren; Jason (Christine) Collins; Andrea (Dan) Salmon – Ty, Chelsey, Kami, Paige, Natalie; Megan (Mitch) Yuill – Draven, Jaxon, Kingston, Jameison; Stacey Cutforth – Allie, Ashley, Kyndal, Kaje, Karson; Trevor (Tiffany) Hull – Brooklyn, Madison, Dawson, Bryson, Hudson; Jason (Candace) Hull – Katelyn, Henry, Morgan, Haven, Gretta; Stephen (Mandi) Hull – Mason. Also survived by her siblings; Shirley (Don) Dempster of Langley, B.C., Sharon Penfold (Michael) of Sault Ste Marie, Ont., Jamie Schofield of Vancouver, B.C., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Frank Langston Schofield and Phyllis Pelletier, formerly of Kirkland Lake, Ont.
“Lani” was born on October 23, 1954 in Kirkland Lake, Ont. She studied nursing at the Northern Ontario Regional School of Nursing in Kirkland Lake and moved shortly afterwards to Calgary and began working in the Calgary General Hospital, then onto the Bethany Care Centre. Her three children were all born in Calgary. In 1979 she met Roxy McClung at a hospital in Calgary and was introduced to the LDS church. She and her first husband joined in 1981. She met her second husband, Robert Hull, in 1994 and they were married in February of 1996. Shortly after moving to Cardston, she resumed her nursing career, working first at the Auxiliary Hospital and then in Homecare, where she finished her career. Lani loved nursing. She was suited for the work as she was always compassionate and caring of her patients and clients who invariably became her lifelong friends. She was a volunteer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cardston Hospital and has been active in the LDS church serving in many positions over the years. She was an avid genealogist and researched countless numbers of her ancestors in Ontario, Quebec and the U.K.
Friends may meet the Family on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 12:00 to 12:45 prior to the service, then are invited to return home to watch the live streaming, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Cardston Cemetery. link: www.legacyfuneralhome.ca
