COTTREAU, Lorraine – Age 84, of Salmon River, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Miscouche, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Mae (Steele) Williams.
Lorraine fought hard to overcome a series of infections. She was tired and could not fight any longer and so she was called HOME. Lorraine was a kind and loving soul. She loved her family. She was an avid gardener. She loved cooking and baking for her family. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed going to church. She loved having her great-grandchildren running around in her home; this brought her so much joy.
She is survived by children, Gary, Glenn (Nancy), Donna (Michel) McCauley, Marcy Saulnier (Jean Blinn); brother, Tom; sisters, Estelle Linkletter, Joan Melanson, Faye Pakkala; grandchildren, Jessica, Derek, Sarah, Ryan, André-Michel, Nicolette, Landon, Brooke; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Emerson, Sierra, Isaac, Ainsley.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell; granddaughter, Vanessa Deveau; son-in-law, Robert Deveau; brother-in-law, Ken Linkletter; brother, Emmett; sisters, Dolly Young, Joyce Cotton.
Arrangements are under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions, a private funeral mass will be held in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan. Burial will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Salmon River. Donations may be made to Yarmouth Regional Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society – Nova Scotia Division, or to your local church.
