Obituary of Lorne Running
Running: Lorne Percy
Peacefully on August 18, 2020 in his 87th year after a hard fought battle with lung disease he joined his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn Ann (nee Day) Running (2018), where he has taken a safe travel and an celebration reunion to join her in heaven. Survived by and will be dearly missed by his son; Gary (Linda) Running of Yarker, and daughter; Mary (Rob) Blondin of Kingston. Cherished grandfather to April, Joel (Claire), Nathaniel (Alicja) Running of Australia and Victoria, Leah, Thomas (Carlie) Blondin. Great grandfather to Isaiah and Alexis, Skyler, Ryker Percy. Loving sister Evelyn (predeceased Gordie) Genge, sister in laws; Helen (predeceased Vernon) Running, Helen (predeceased Gerald) Running, Marion (predeceased Alan) Laming. Predeceased by his loving parents; Chester Arthur and Mary Matilda (nee MacDonald) Running. Predeceased siblings; William, Donald (WWII), Stafford, Kenneth, Vernon, Grace, Gerald, Marion. Fondly will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Dear friend Elaine along with spiritual family from Kingston Gospel Temple. Our family is deeply grateful for the compassion, care, and devotion of the staff of the palliative team on Kidd 10 and Connell 9 at Kingston General Hospital. A Graveside service will be held in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie on Monday August 24 at 11 am As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to the Ontario Lung Association or to the charity of your choice
