Obituary of Lorna Carroll
Lorna “Goldie” Carroll
February 5, 1930 – July 28, 2020
A loving family woman, Goldie, died far from her beloved Cape Breton on July 28, 2020.
Born Lorna Marie Walsh on February 5, 1930, her nickname, Goldie, stayed with her all her life, describing the colour of her hair and her sunny disposition.
She was predeceased by her parents Nell and Ned Walsh, Russell, her husband of 68 years, her brothers Michael (Dime), Vern, John, Gerard, Og and her sister Loretta. She is survived by her children, Lorna (Jim), Rosalind (Ian), Albert (Paula); Plemel grandchildren Martin (Jessica), David and Ellen (Patrick); Howell grandchildren David (Cami), Mark and Carrie La Lievre (Brendon); Carroll grandchildren Russell (Beth) and Rebecca; great grand daughters Peyton, Audrey, Deidre and Grace; and sister-in-law Mary Levangie.
Goldie had an eye for fashion finishing her retail career at Jacobsons. She was a proud CWL member for over 50 years. She loved her family, sports, sewing, playing cards and travel. One of her favorite adventures was to Dollywood, Tennessee with her “girls”. Goldie was a kind, generous woman who always felt that her life was blessed.
A celebration of life will be held next summer in Cape Breton.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lorna
