Lorie Frances Branscombe 19662020

Lorie Frances Branscombe
1966-2020
Lorie Frances
Branscombe – Truro. It is with great sadness that the family of
Lorie Frances Branscombe announces her passing on Tuesday, December 8,
2020, in Truro.
Lorie
was born in Brampton, Ontario in 1966 and grew up in Sus Corner,
New Brunswick, graduating from Sus Regional High School in 1984.
During her time at the University of Maine – Fort Kent, Lorie
discovered a penchant for sorority life, pledging to Kappa Delta Phi
NAS-Kappa Rho in 1986 and staying connected with her sisters to this
day. There, she also began fulfilling her lifelong passion
to help people; as an Educational Assistant in Truro, a Home
Healthcare Worker, a Daycare and a Respite provider for more than two
decades.
To Lorie,
building and maintaining connections were so very important. Ask
anyone who knew her, and they will tell of her uplifting spirit, her
contagious laugh (including the odd snort), her engaging personality
and her incredible strength and fortitude through all of
life’s ups and
downs (sometimes literally when trying white water rafting, horseback
riding and sky diving). A smile, a joke or a hug were easily given and
received.
At the
end of the day, family with its amazingly interwoven patterns, was her
everything. Her son, Zack, her brother and niece, special
aunts and uncles, cousins as close as siblings gave her strength and
love and she returned that ten fold.
Lorie is
survived by her beloved son, Zackary Toupin, Truro; step-son, Michael
(Aleia) Toupin, Moncton, New Brunswick; brother, Shane, Halifax;
niece, Madison; aunts and uncles, Eileen Ryan, Dorie (Ed)
Whitters, Lawrence
(Joan) Cummings, Shirley
(Dean) Keays, Gordon
(Theresa) Cummings, Hazen (Debbie)
Cummings, Lois
Cummings, Marjorie Northrup, Sally (Bill) Rupert, Susan (Jack) McKay,
Murray (June) Branscombe, Thomas (Carol Ann) Hanley, Glenna Hanley,
Patrick (Moira) Hanley; many cousins and close friends, and of course
her two cats, Clancy and
Callie.
Lorie
was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Alice (Cummings)
Branscombe of Sus Corner, New Brunswick; aunts and uncles, Edna and
Steve Miklos, Doris Branscombe, Michael and Jean Branscombe, Marita
and Warren Mason, Serena and Paul Renner, James Ryan, David Danford
and Murray Northrup; grandparents, Leo and Catherine (Monahan)
Cummings, Thomas and Frances (Whalen) Hanley and Gilbert
Branscombe.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall

along side her parents in Norton, New Brunswick in the late Spring of
