BOWYER, Lonnie – Passed away on Saturday January 25th, 2020 at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe. Mrs. Lonnie Bowyer of Simcoe in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late James Bowyer (2009). Loving mother of Brant Bowyer (Mariam) of Simcoe and Costa Rica and Lenore Bowyer-Cox (Alan) of Simcoe. Cherished Grandma to Jason Bowyer of Costa Rica, Adam Cox (Sarah) of Brantford and Aimee Cox of Winnipeg. Great Grandma to Aiden and Marshall Cox. Predeceased by her siblings Jack and Bertha Bowyer, Max and Edna Bowyer, Ray and Luella Bowyer, Ross and Viva Bowyer, Jim and Jean Coughlin, Gerry McIlroy and Leona and Gaston Mermuys. Survived by her sister in law Betty McIlroy. Lonnie will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Lonnie loved to travel the world, she worked on a dairy farm, tobacco farm and then as a Bell Telephone operator until her retirement. Friends are invited to visit on Saturday February 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314) where service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Mary Jo Patterson officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society. Online condolences may be made at www.ferrisfuneral.com
