Lois Victoria Jean Ashton
Peacefully, in her sleep, after a long and well lived life, Lois Victoria Jean Ashton (Smith) passed away at the age of 94, at the Village on the Ridge on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Ashton (November 2006). Loving mother of Phillip Ashton (Mary), Kenneth Ashton (Jane), Marie Campbell, Lois Jean Ashton Diniz (Joe), Glen Ashton (Heather), Kate Ashton (Tony Makhlouta), Noreen Knight (Dave), and Anna Siderius (Stan).
Grandmother of Ben (Jen), Michael (Allison), Kai (Kiera), Ellen, Anya (Brad), Matthew (Andrea), Mark, Wren (Jeremy), Blake (Meghan), Jacob (Samantha), Lisa (Ben), Emma (Marcus), Rachael and Eric. Great grandmother of Matilda, Edwin, Aria, Malcolm, Munro and Thurgood.
Predeceased by her sister Madeleine Cross, son-in-law Ed Campbell and daughter-in-law Christine Ashton.
Lois was a lifelong member of the United Church of Canada, life member of the United Church Women, a member of Kent Chapter IODE and the McKay’s Corners Women’s Institute.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 from 9:30am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am. Interment to follow in McLean Cemetery.
