Lois Marie Moss
1932-2020
Lois M. (Jenkins) Moss, wife of the late Allan G. Moss of Burtts
Corner, NB went peacefully into the arms of her Saviour at York Care
Centre, Fredericton, NB on January 9, 2020. Born in Cumberland Bay on
January 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Eva (Brown)
Jenkins.
Lois loved serving her Lord, and when you went to visit at York Care
Centre, you found Lois because you could hear her singing and praising
God, before you saw her. Lois loved children and she was active in
children’s church for a number of years. She wrote a number of
songs and she loved baking, knitting and spending time with her family
and friends. When you went to visit you always had to have something
to eat before leaving.
She is survived by sons, David (Carol) Moss, Merlin (Anne) Moss,
Frankie (Dixie) Moss, all of Zealand, NB, Eric Moss, Dorn Ridge, NB
and Richard Moss, Doaktown, NB; daughters, Donna Toole, Lincoln, NB,
Dolly Graves, Zealand, NB and Lorraine (Gerald) Albright, Scotch
Settlement, NB; thirty-two grandchildren, eighty-three great
grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; three sisters, Inez
Hicks, Hilda (Vincent) Galbraith, both of Saint John, NB and Gloria
Jenkins, British Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was predeceased by three
grandchildren, Kevin and Thomas Muise and Ian Moss, and a brother,
Merlin Jenkins.
Visiting hours will be held at Zealand United Pentecostal Church, 2016
Route 104, Zealand, NB on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at
2 pm from the church with Rev. Fred Wickett and Rev. Don McCarty
officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Zealand
Community Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Lois, the family
has suggested the Alzheimer Society or Zealand United Pentecostal
Church.
