Lois’ Obituary
DAYE, Lois Kathleen ~ Age 80, Cambridge, formerly of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at home. Born on November 6, 1939, in Listowel, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Lawson and Jean (Anderson) Cross. Lois was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a registered nurse, retiring as Director of Nursing from Grand View Manor, Berwick, in 2000. Lois was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Auburn, where she sang in the church choir, was on the church council and had recently learned to play the ukulele. Surviving are sons, Kurt (Rhonda) Daye, Bloomington; Robert (Marie Chapman) Daye, Bedford; grandson, Maxx Daye; nephew, Stephen (Kara) Cliffe & their daughters, Caitlin & Colleen, Ransomville, New York. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, C.J. “Bud” Daye (2004); sister, Nancy (Jack) Cliffe. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, in St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 20 Morden Rd., Auburn. Rev. Mel Malton and Rev. Maya Bevan officiating with interment in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery, Auburn, at a later date. Family flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church or to your favorite charity.
