Logan Jowett was born December 9th, 2009 and from the outset, was faced with many medical challenges that would define his short life on earth. In turn, these challenges were to shape Logan’s character and it became very apparent that he was to become a brave, strong-minded individual who was determined to tackle life head on.
He never let anything, or anyone hold him back; he loved life and was feisty, persistent, stubborn and sassy in his dogged determination to be a typical little boy. In his dealings with other kids, his family, teachers and medical staff, he was smart, funny, mischievous and was known for harbouring a wicked sense of humour when his health permitted; many of those who came into contact with him most probably have a tale about the awesome pranks he played! Logan loved his video games, YouTube, Halloween and scary movies. He was mad about stuffies, cats, garbage trucks and tornados!
In 2019, Logan and his Mom were blessed with a trip to Disneyword, gifted by the “Make the Wish Foundation”. Logan had an amazing opportunity to meet with all the Disney characters, many of them his heroes.
Logan could be quite the charmer; he had a twinkle in his eye, an infectious laugh, and was loved by everyone who met him. He touched peoples’ hearts and left a lasting impression wherever he went.
Sadly, Logan’s body struggled to carry on as his medical conditions became ever more severe. Despite years of enduring courage, it was finally time for this amazing, inspirational little boy to slip away and, in the words of his heartbroken Mom, “Logan gained his angel wings at 6.39am on November 1st,2020, peacefully in his sleep.”
His Mom, Grandma and Dad wish to pass on their sincere thanks for the amazing care provided by the Stollery Childrens’ Hospital (under the watchful eyes of Dr McGonigle and Dr Chatur) throughout Logan’s life.
