Lloyd Yenssen 2020

Lloyd Yenssen, formerly of Carrick Township and West Grey passed away peacefully at SBGHC – Chesley Site on Friday, May 15, 2020. He was 89.
Born on February 9, 1931 in Normanby Township to the late Edgar and Maude (nee Eidt) Yenssen. Lloyd married Marjorie (nee Unruh) in 1953. Together they raised their children on the farm. Lloyd was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Lauderbach and then St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Normanby Township. Growing up on the farm made him naturally inclined to do the same when he had his own family. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the farmer’s life.
Survived by daughter Linda Yenssen (Bruce McDonald) of RR1 Hanover and son Harvey (Jennifer) Yenssen. Grandfather of Angela, Vincent and Jessica. Dear brother of Evelyn Fetter of Fergus and brother in law of Jean Yenssen of Mount Forest and Walter Helwig of Hanover. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie, sisters Mabel Helwig, Marjorie in infancy and brothers Richard and Arthur.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Lauderbach with Rev. John Polacok officiating.
Memorial donations to the Residential Hospice – SouthWest Build would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. To share stories or messages of condolences, they can be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
