It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lloyd Reekie of Saskatoon, SK at the age of 85 years.
Lloyd grew up in Manitoba and was married to the love of his life Betty for 49 years. He was a devoted father and grandfather, survived by daughter Kim Wilkinson; grandchildren Chris Pelletier, Andrew Pelletier; great grandson: Niko Pelletier-Pronobis; brother Doug Reekie of Calgary AB; nephew Blair Reekie; niece Barbara (Dean) Mitchell and her children Kurt, Eric & Vanessa Reekie. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Betty, son Don and parents Randel & Margaret.
Dad enjoyed his working life as a photographer with the Brandon Sun, then his time at the Manitoba Telephone System in Winnipeg. He then had a fulfilling career with CMHC in Ottawa. He loved to make a joke and was known for his contagious laugh. At this time we are grateful for all our family and friends. We would also like to thank all of Dad’s caregivers. Cremation Services have taken place. An interment will be at St. John’s Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan. Dad, I will meet you on the other side, Love You Forever. Arrangements in care of Travis Minor – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978 5200.
