HODGSON, Linda – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a much loved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 73 years old. She practiced as a Registered Nurse at the Hotel Dieu Hospital for 43 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth Hodgson for the past 50 years. Loving mother of Kent Hodgson (Nicole) of Barrhaven, ON and Meagan Hodgson of Cornwall. Lovingly remembered by her two Granddaughters Ally and Kara Hodgson also of Barrhaven, ON. Dear daughter of the late John and Rena Taylor (Martel) and loved sister of John A. Taylor (Adrienne) and Robert B. Taylor (Emily) of Ottawa, ON. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Kenneth and the late Lillian Hodgson (McDonald). Dear sister-in-law of Marion Tobin (late William), Margaret Kalil (late James), Joan Lemieux (Michael), Frances O’Dair (George), the late John Hodgson (Marguerite) and Anne Gauthier (Robert). She will also be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Our thanks to the tremendous efforts of the medical staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital, Ornge Air Transport, Ottawa General Hospital and the Ottawa Heart Institute; they all worked so hard for a successful outcome. Also a special thanks to Dr. Fraser Rubens and his medical team and to our nurse Debbie on Tower 4 East who went above and beyond in providing care. The funeral will take place on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at 11:00AM at St. Francis de Sales Church. Due to Covid restrictions, the celebration of the Mass will be by invitation only.
