Obituary
Linda Gordon Oct. 16 1944 – Dec. 9 2020
It is with a heavy heart that the family announces her passing on Dec. 9 2020 at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Linda will be greatly missed by her children Darryl Ainey, (Toronto) Heather and Claude Dubien (North Bay). Her grandchildren Samantha and Kellen (Taylor Hutchinson) Ainey and Rikki-Lynn (Even Johnson) and Brett (Shae-Lyn Ashton) Dubien. Her sisters Sandy (David predeceased) Soutar, Wendy (Les) Warner (both of North Bay) and her brother Doug (Yvette) Gordon (of Claresholm Alberta) as well as her nieces, nephews and their children.
A small private service was held and cremation has occurred. As per mom’s wishes her ashes will be interred along with her parents Garfield (predeceased 1960) and Edythe (predeceased 2009) Gordon in a spring service at Saint John’s Cemetery on Golf Club Rd North Bay.
Our family would like to thank the amazing staff at Nipissing Serenity Hospice not only for mom’s wonderful care during her time there, but the care and compassion that was extended to us. A special thanks goes out to mom’s little Twinkle as she called her.
Also a special thank you is extended to a nurse at NBRH on A3 Collette Girard for being so persistent. Kim Peddle (moms’ step-sister) for the beautiful roses that she brought to the service so that we had representation of those who were not able to be in attendance,
Aunt Wendy for being our rock. Not sure we would have been as strong without your encouragement and support. Mom looked to you for assurance from time to time and you never let her down.
In lieu of flowers donations to Nipissing Serenity Hospice or Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
