Lillian Harvie 2020

Lillian Ruth (McKinley) Harvie
With deep sorrow, we the family of Lillian announce her passing in Dartmouth General Hospital on August 12, 2020 after a short illness. Born in Shubenacadie NS to Edith and Howard McKinley 85 years ago. She completed grade 12 in the 4 room village school and went on to attend the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacy, graduating as a Certified Drug Clerk. She met her future husband outside a small drug store in Bedford NS in 1955. She spent 20 years working in retail pharmacies in Dartmouth. She was a sports fan her entire life. She was in a ladies bowling league for over 50 years and in 1981 she joined a golf course and golfed competitively for over 35 years. Whatever Lillian did she did it to the very best of her ability. She was a dedicated homemaker and made every house a warm and happy home..
Lillian leaves behind Ray, her loving husband of 64 years; sons, Douglas (Velma) and Jeffrey (Lin); seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren all in Ontario; brother Jim (Barb) of North Vancouver and several nieces and nephews from coast to coast.
