Lillian Geneva Reid
September 16, 1933 – November 22, 2020
Passed peacefully away at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, in the presence of her family, Geneva Reid of Dildo (originally of Heart’s Delight), aged 87 years.
Predeceased by grandparents, Solomon and Harriett Ann Reid; mother, Elizabeth Maude Smith; sister, Harriett (Arthur) Crocker; brother, Leroy Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bessie and Wilfred Savory, Douglas Mercer, Annie and John Vardy, Harry Reid, Roy Reid.
Leaving to mourn and to celebrate her life are her devoted husband of 65 years, Ray; daughter, Beverly Cranford (Brian); sons, Gordon (Dawn), Terry (Gisele), Keith (Holly), and Brian (Jocelyn); grandchildren, Nicole Reid-Babin (Pat), Stephanie Reid (Randy), Jessica Smith (Stephen), Jeremy Reid (Michelle), Brandon Reid (Ellie), Lauren Reid, Joel Cranford (Stephanie), Scott Cranford (Robyn), Brittney Reid (Daniel), Samara Reid (Joey), and Bailey Reid; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Dawson, James, Isla, Caleb, Samuel and Henry; brothers, Victor Smith, Fred Smith, and Lyndon (Patsy) Smith; sisters, Loretta Elgar, Stella Cumby, and Geraldine Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvina Smith, Elaine Mercer, Juanita Reid, Carol Reid, Graham Reid, Joyce Reid, Barry (Carmel) Reid, Kathleen (Denzil) Baggs, Barbara (Ron) Burry; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews and extended family members.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to Janice Pollett who cared for Mom while she was at home and to the fantastic staff of 2 South, PJSMP, in particular to Janice, Kim, Coleen and Stephanie who were with Mom at the end. Words cannot express how thankful we are for the excellent care provided to Mom both at home and at the Pavilion.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the visitation and service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be private.
