Obituary of Leslie Jean French
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce that LESLIE JEAN FRENCH passed into the presence of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on May 1, 2020.
Leslie was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a vocalist, published writer, teacher and motivational speaker. She conquered cancer and was a strong and brave woman of great faith in God.
Mom’s passion was singing, whether singing to her great grand-daughter or at weddings, funerals, church solos, various choirs and most recently the Regina Philharmonic Choir. She absolutely loved it. Mom truly loved and cherished the close friendships she made over the years. Margaret and the Fab Five, church members, Rosemarie, Mary Jo and Steve, prayer group to residents at First Baptist and many more were near and dear to her.
Leslie was born in Mossbank, SK and had a long and rewarding career working for and teaching singing at the University of Regina, and Workers Compensation in Hamilton, ON and Vancouver, BC.
Leslie is survived by son, Don Larson (Judy); grandchildren Taryn, Dallan (Olivia); great grand-daughter Tali; daughter Shelley Larson; son David Larson and wife Dale Janice Knutson (B.C.)
Cremation has taken place but due to Covid-19 a service celebrating Leslie’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Leslie’s name may be made to: Family Service of Regina, Female Domestic Violence Unit, 2020 Halifax St, Regina, S4P 1T7.
