TATE, Leslie Susan (nee: Short) –
Peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday January 27, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 66. Leslie, beloved wife for 45 years of Ian Tate. Much loved mother of Erin Tate (Simon Gilchrist) and Graham Tate (Shalini Co Li). Proud grandma of Addison, Emily and Catherine Gilchrist. Dear sister of Marlyn Lindsay (Robert). Leslie retired after a 35 year career at RBC and in her retirement became an avid gardener and an active member of the Brooklin Horticultural Society.
Her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Durham Region Cancer Centre, and the dedicated support teams from LHIN and VHA.
As per Leslie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and family and friends will be received at a Celebration of Leslie’s Life Reception on Tuesday February 4th from 12noon to 2pm at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Region Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by Leslie’s family.
