Leslie “Les” John Flynn
October 05, 1961 – October 31, 2020
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Les of St. John’s formally of Fox Harbour, Placentia Bay, at home, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Les leaves to mourn his wife Audrey (nee Lamothe), his son Chad and grandson Briar.
Also, mourning his sister Ann Marie McGrath (Jerome), Brothers Derm (Diane), Raymond (Sandra), Terry (Carole), Don (Lois), Dan (Donna), Ken (Linda), Rod (Sandra), Keith (Tracey), and sister in law Judy (Dennis). Audrey’s Family, Lynn (Arnie), Terry, Phil, Sue and Connie (Rob) and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends, especially the neighbours on Prowse Avenue.
Pre-deceased by his parents Nick and Mae and brother Gary and members of Audrey’s family.
Les was a character, fun loving and the life of any party. He often acted out songs and told funny stories. He was a great chef and could cook up a mean scoff. He worked in many restaurants throughout the city. He loved flowers. Cremation has taken place.

Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. In keeping with public health regulations, visitation on Thursday from 1-7pm will be restricted to 20 people at a time; family and friends are kindly reminded to keep their visits short to allow everyone an opportunity to celebrate Les’ life. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:30am from Caul’s Chapel with a maximum of 65 attendees. Those unable to attend will be able to live stream the service online through a link to be provided here shortly before the funeral.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Les’ memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic.
