Leslie “Les” Csontos, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, November 23, 2020. He was 85.
Born in Hungary to the late Mate and Tracey (nee Lestak) Csontos. Les was employed for many years at Interforest Ltd until his retirement.
Survived by loving spouse Irene (nee Waechter) of Hanover. Loved father of Leslie (Patti-Jo) Csontos of Waterloo, Erika Csontos of Hanover and Barbara (Michael) Garcia of RR#2 Walkerton. Loved by Irene’s children Kim Grein (Andy Maluske) of Hanover and Bryce Troy (Maureen Miller) of Walkerton. Special grandfather of Kinley, Caitlin, Brittany, Brianna, Clayton, Kali, Emily, Madison, Jaiden, and Meadow. Les will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his first wife Helga, brothers Kalman, Mate and sister Julianna.
A public visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 2-4 pm. Please call the funeral home at 519-364-3660 to reserve your time in between the hours of 8:30 -4pm until Tuesday at 4pm as there is limited spaces available. Masks are required indoors and all social distancing measures will be followed.
A private family funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Holy Family Church. The Mass will be livestreamed for those who wish to view by going to: holyfamily.ca/ at 10 am. Father Emmanuel Azike officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Ontario.
Memorial donations to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
