Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Leslie David Scribner announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Nauwigewauk, NB on November 15, 1931 he was the son of the late David and Grace (Fraser) Scribner. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Frances (Fairbrother) Scribner; sons Douglas Reed and John Reed; brother Russell Scribner; sister Evelyn Harrison (Clive); and sister-in-law Christina Fraser.
He is survived by his brother Arthur Stuart Fraser; sister-in-law Joan Scribner; brothers-in-law Eric Fairbrother and Jim Fairbrother; daughters-in-law Paula Cyr (Roger) and Ruth Reed; grandchildren Candice Hanna (Aaron), Scott Reed and Angus Reed, great grandchildren Mackenzie Reed, Cole Hanna and Sara Hanna; several nieces and one nephew.
Leslie retired from Department of Transportation as an equipment operator. He was happiest in his last years when he was in in the car counting deer.
A graveside service will be held at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Stockfarm Road, Hammond River on Friday September 11, 2020 at 1 p.m. Please respect physical distancing.
Remembrances in memory of Leslie may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424).
