Obituary of Leon Tracey
Leon passed away peacefully at Hastings Manor, Belleville on Friday, June 19th, 2020 in his 94th year. Son of the late James Francis Tracey and Katherine Monaghan. Beloved husband of the late Shirley May Tracey (nee-Van-Allen). Loving father of daughters, Bonnie (Brian) Tate of Ottawa and April (Bill) Davison of Orange, New Jersey, sons, Donald of Toronto, Rev. Fr. Christopher of Hamilton Diocese, Joseph of Ottawa and predeceased by sons James and Thomas. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Dear brother of (Late) Eugene & (Late wife Mary), (Late) Wilfred, (Late) Carman & (surviving wife Theresa), Lois & (Late husband Walter), (Late) Joe, Kenneth & (wife Freda), (Late) Shirley & (Late husband Frank). Leon will also be missed by his daughter-in-law; Elizabeth, and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law of (Late) Gilbert & (surviving wife Flaudia) and Connie & (Late husband Percy).
Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, on Thursday June 25th, 2020. Interment at St. Charles of Borromeo Cemetery, Read. Due to current restrictions, attendance at visitation, the Funeral Mass and Committal Service is limited. Please do not attend unless you have been specifically invited. Only invited guests will be admitted. All guests will be required to wear masks.
