MATHER, Leonard William – It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Leonard William on December 26, 2020 of Covid-19 at St Catharines General Hospital in his 90th year. Loving husband of Gwendolyne for 65 years. Dearly loved dad of Thomas William (Lynn) and Ian Malcolm. Cherished Grandpa of Justine and Michelle and loved GG to Azariah. Dear brother of Gordon (Ann) (Both deceased), Ken (Dorothy) of Stittsville, ON, David of Montreal, QC and Ray (Connie) of Fredericton, NB. Growing up in Montreal, Len was active in skiing, swimming and gymnastics. Len formed the first cub pack in Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec in the 1960’s and he stayed active in cubs after moving to Niagara Falls in 1977. He enjoyed photography and was a member of the Niagara Falls Camera Club. Len and Gwen enjoyed traveling and cruising around the world for many years.
Due to current pandemic restrictions, a private family service with cremation will take place. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Christ Church in Niagara Falls.
