August 20, 1934 – April 19, 2020
Born in Galt Ontario, he is survived by his wife Audrey, daughters Nancy (Paul) of Cambridge, Heather (Rob) of Dartmouth N.S. Also survived by his stepchildren Valerie (Arthur) and Leslie Jackson and 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Charles, his sisters Kitty, Edna, Margaret, Elsie, Clara, his stepson Brad Manion (Sharron) and stepdaughter Vanessa Gerich (Klaus). Len was a member of the Galt Fire Department for 17 years. Later he became the Fire Chief of Arnprior and then Deputy Chief of Barrie. In 1979 he joined the Office of the Fire Marshal attaining the rank of Regional Manager before retiring in 1995. He is a past president of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Volunteer Association. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
