LABUTE, Leonard Arthur
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leonard, a wonderful husband, father, Pépé & great Pépé, on May 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Loving and devoted husband to the late Marcella Labute (nee Ducharme). Cherished father of Donna (Ron) McIntosh, Martin Labute (Beverlie), late Anita Labute (1977), Shelley (William) Rutckyj, Beverley (Charles) Defede. Proud Pépé of Scott (Angela), Bradley (Jamie), Ryan (Rachel), Heather (William), Blake, Rachel, Holly, and Mitchell. Dear great Pépé of Alexis, Brady, Keegan, Karter, Summer, Chloe, Wynne and Vann. Predeceased by his parents Archille and Josephine Labute (nee Labute). Predeceased by siblings Edmund Labute, Louise Parent, Marcella Charron and Francis Labute. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Leonard was a retired employee of Thibodeau Express in Detroit for many years. He was a dedicated fan of the Detroit Red Wings and enjoyed many winters in Florida with his wife Marcella. Leonard was a devoted father and the best babysitter a mother could ask for. A special thank you to the staff at Banwell Garden’s for the wonderful care they gave our Father. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family graveside service at St. Anne’s Cemetery has been held. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd.
