It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Gladys Wayte (nee Calverley on Friday August 28, 2020 at the Glenboro Personal Care Home at the age of 99 years.
Lena was born on May 21, 1921 in Glenboro, MB. She was predeceased by husbands Tom Wayte and Norman Wayte, son Fred & daughter-in-law Marjorie Wayte and by sister Vivian & brother-in-law Arden Outhwaite.
Lena is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ron (Shirley) Wayte of Landon AB, Terry (Harold) Wayte-Sears of Arnprior ON and Sandy Peddle of Glenboro (ex-husband Francis Peddle of Crossfield AB), three great grandchildren, Richard Wayte, Shayna (Trevor) Filkohazy, Reid Peddle and two great great-grandchildren, Callie and Stevie Filkohazy.
A Private Family Service will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2020 in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro MB. Interment will take place in the Glenboro Cemetery. The service will be available to view online at www.willmorchapel.com later in the day.
Memorial donations can be made in Lena’s memory to the Glenboro United Church Memorial Fund, Box 623, Glenboro MB R0K 0X0 or to a charity of choice.
