Lawrence Ray Millyard 1942 2020

Obituary of Lawrence Ray Millyard
Lawrence Ray Millyard of Bothwell passed away peacefully at Four Counties Health Services on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 78. Born in Kitchener, son of the late Fred and Lenore Millyard. Beloved husband and devoted partner for 22 years to Phyllis Millyard. Loving father to Jerry Millyard (Lise), Terry Millyard (Janice), and step-father to Joe Sanders (Anne), Krista Creelman (Brad), and Paul Sanders. Survived by his sister Katherine (Kay) Evans (John). Predeceased by sisters Rose Millard (Harvey), Mable Holcombe, and brothers James (Sherry), Herb, Fred (Paula), and William Millyard. Adored by many nieces and nephews. Larry was a wonderful grandfather to Rebecca, Amanda, Jason, Corey (Britany), Brittany (Louis), Cassidy, Mackenzie, Matt, Brandon, Leah, Justin, Megan, and great grandfather to Brady, Clayton, Brooklyn, Nathan (deceased), Jacob, Liam, and Hudson.
Larry was an established licensed millwright, carpenter, truck driver and overall jack of all trades. He always had several jobs on the go and took pride in “getting things done” and was darn good at it too. He was passionate and experienced in anything automotive and shared his expertise and love of cars with many. Larry loved driving and working on his Cadillac cars and Ford trucks. He was well known and loved in the community. Although sometimes set in his ways, to know him was to love him. Larry adored time with his family and was a great husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and his community.
At Larry’s request, a family graveside service will take place at Oakland Cemetery and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Four Counties Health Services Foundation or a Charity of Your Choice.
