Obituary
Lawrence Edward Keshane was born on May 20, 1960 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan and passed away on May 19, 2020 in Canora, Saskatchewan.
Lawrence was raised on the Key First Nation and attended school in Norquay, Saskatchewan.
Lawrence married Karen Quewezance on March 31, 1979 and had 4 children. They also raised a niece, Leatta Brass as one of their own. Lawrence loved sports of all kinds and was the coach for many baseball and hockey teams. He was competitive and very proud of the Stoney Creek Braves. He loved family gatherings and had nicknames for all the children. A family evening often ended with either Texas Hold Em’ or poker and tons of laughs.
He had many jobs throughout his life including a school bus driver for 35 years, and had the opportunity onto drive 3 generations of Key First Nation children. He enjoyed his job as a bus driver, as he got to watch many of the children grow and have families of their own.
Lawrence is predeceased by his Grandparents Joe and Nora (Papequash) Crane (Maternal) , Henry Stanley and Mabel (Baldhead) Keshane (Paternal); Parents Frank and Sarah (Crane) Keshane; Siblings Grace Genaille, Mervina Keshane, Edith Brass, Edna Keshane, Randy Keshane, Floyd Keshane, Ivan Keshane, Debra Papequash, Judy Hrycyk, and Patrick Keshane; Children Audie (Bugger) Keshane and Grandchildren Jackson and Rayla.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen Keshane; Siblings Darlene Johnston and Margaret Keshane; Children Anne Keshane, Leslie Keshane, Edna Keshane, Leatta Brass and Jacob Stevenson; Grandchildren Renae, Jaden, Leslie, Theodore, Aiden, Lyden, Teigan, Brianna, Damon, Daylon, Ashley wish, Ariel, and Trenton;
He will be missed by the Keshane Family as he was our leader and biggest supporter.
