Obituary
It is with deep sadness the family announce the passing of Laurie Weldon Brown, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. Born in Fredericton, NB, on April 7th, 1937, he was the son of the late Donald and Jean (Laurie) Brown.
Laurie worked at NBTel for many years, retiring as Traffic Manager. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Fredericton, Kinsman Club of Saint John and served as past-president of N.B. Telephone Pioneers. He remained active throughout his entire life, enjoying the times spent travelling to Florida or playing a game of tennis.
Laurie will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Thelma (Vail) and their children Kevin (Kelly) Brown and Connie Brown (Tim Moore). He is also survived by his 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Laurie is predeceased by his son Peter Brown and his 4 brothers.
Arrangements entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Laurie’s wishes, no funeral service will be held at this time.
