Thornbury’s Town Crier
Art Lapointe of Thornbury passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 at the age of 92.
He will be missed dearly by his beloved wife Beverly Lapointe (nee Sutherland) of Thornbury.
Art was well known as ‘Thornbury’s Town Crier’. He enjoyed volunteering with the Big Brothers and the Marsh Street Community Centre. Art will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and had the pleasure of spending time with him.
Cremation has taken place and Art’s life will be celebrated after the Covid-19 restrictions have lifted and it is safe for friends and extended family to gather.
